Appalachian Ski Mtn., Inc. Camper Rules and Regulations
- Check in/Out Times Check in 3:00 PM and out by 11:00 AM.
- All Campers must register at the Main Office upon arriving at the Ski Area. From 7/1/23 – 10/6/23 Office hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.
- If Arriving after 4pm, call Main Office (828) 295-7828 before 4pm to make arrangements for late arrival.
- Cancellation Policy- If you cancel less than 72 hours prior to reservation, there is no refund.
- A 2 Night Minimum is required for the following Holidays:
Thanksgiving Weekend Nov 22-25
Christmas Holidays Dec 18-31
MLK Weekend Jan 12 – 14
Presidents Day Weekend Feb 16 – 18
If you arrive during Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day; please make sure to let the Main Office know of your arrival time as the office closes early these days.
- Quiet Hours – 10 PM to 8 AM
- Vehicle parking only in front of camper. No parking in other sites. You may park a vehicle across camp site in general parking lot, if available.
- Campers are responsible to dispose of their own garbage off-site. If staying an extended period, they must properly dispose at the Watauga County Trash Center on HWY 321 and Aho Rd (Click for Hours) Do not leave garbage outside of campsite or by receptacles of lodge.
- NO OPEN FIRES! Fire pits are not provided.
Small grills & fire pits allowed as long as they are off the ground.- Do not light fires on windy days or nights. Put the fire out at the first sign of increased winds.
- Obey any local burn bans.
- Keep anything combustible at least 10 feet away from the fire pit.
- Before you leave the fire pit, be sure all embers, sticks and logs are completely extinguished.
- Pet Policy –
- Pets must be leashed at all times.
- Pet owners must clean up after their pets and dispose of litter properly.
- Pets are not allowed in the Base Lodge, Skate House or on the ski slopes.
- If you are staying for an extended period, you may not sublease your camping spot.
- No swimming is allowed on-site
- No fireworks allowed on premises
